In a statement issued on Sunday, Engr. Momoh described Easter as more than a religious celebration — a season of renewal, reflection, and rebirth that mirrors the aspirations of a nation striving to rise above past limitations.
“Easter is a reminder that even in our darkest hour, light will break through. The resurrection of Christ signifies that no challenge — whether economic or societal — is insurmountable,” the Minister stated.
He noted that just as Christ’s resurrection brought new hope to mankind, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is breathing new life into Nigeria’s economy through bold reforms, strategic investments, and inclusive governance.
“This administration is committed to laying the foundations for long-term prosperity,” Engr. Momoh emphasized. “Under President Tinubu’s leadership, we are witnessing the emergence of critical infrastructure, the revamping of regional economies, and renewed confidence in government’s ability to deliver.”
Speaking on the role of the Ministry of Regional Development, the Minister highlighted ongoing efforts to close developmental gaps and stimulate regional growth, particularly through collaboration with agencies such as the NDDC and other regional development commissions.
“Our ministry remains deeply committed to transforming policies into real, measurable progress across communities,” he stated.
He added that despite global and domestic economic challenges, Nigerians must remain resilient, hopeful, and united, drawing strength from the symbolism of Easter.
“Let this season inspire us to support one another, transcend our differences, and contribute to the rebuilding of our nation. National unity, regional collaboration, and shared sacrifice are the bedrock of sustainable development.”
Engr. Momoh concluded by wishing all Nigerians — especially the Christian community — a peaceful, joyful, and spiritually uplifting Easter celebration.
“May the resurrection power of Christ bring renewed hope to every home, every community, and every region of our beloved country.”
