Idris, represented by Jibrin Ndace, the Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), emphasized, “President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, GCFR, is deeply committed to guiding us towards the Nigeria we desire, with a genuine purpose and focus on the values outlined in the Nigeria Constitution.
“Over the past seven months, our government has remained steadfast in addressing economic challenges, combating insecurity, attracting Foreign Direct Investment, and upholding Nigeria’s Foreign policy principles on the global stage.
“Our role in maintaining democracy in the West-Africa region through the ECOWAS platform has garnered recognition on the international political stage.
“We are unwavering in our pursuit of the Renewed Hope Agenda, as President Tinubu remains steadfast in ensuring that Nigeria stands strong as the true giant of Africa.”
He revealed that the President has instructed the NSA, DSS, and IGP to collaborate with state governors in monitoring and controlling the activities of those stockpiling food commodities to regulate prices.
“On behalf of the Federal Government, I commend the proactive decision of Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago, to curb bulk-buying of food items for hoarding. Undoubtedly, this contributed to the recent reduction in the cost of food items in the state,” he stated.
Former Governor of Niger, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, expressed optimism about the rejuvenation of NIPR, believing that the chapter would establish a new standard.
