Jaret Tenebe, the deputy chairman of the party in the state, delivered this warning in Benin, the capital of Edo State, during a visit by the party executives to receive gubernatorial aspirant Hon. Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma at the party’s secretariat in Benin City.

Tenebe commended the aspirant for his initial step of informing the party about his ambition after conducting quiet consultations.

He emphasized the importance of engaging with the party’s members in various local governments and highlighted key issues for the campaign, including the unfulfilled Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed by the Obaseki government and the neglect of traditional rulers in the state.

Addressing the party executives, Hon. Agbonayinma sought their support for his nomination as the party’s candidate, emphasizing that he possesses the qualities necessary to lead the state.

He mentioned his mentorship by former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, highlighting Oshiomhole’s performance across the state’s three senatorial districts without bias.

Agbonayinma expressed a commitment to rescuing the state, promising to involve the party executives in decision-making processes if elected governor. He asserted his capacity to achieve what others have not in the state’s governance.
