The recently promoted officers encompassed a deputy commissioner of police, two assistant commissioners of police, five chief superintendents of police, and three superintendents of police.

Commissioner Dankwara, during the decoration ceremony held at the Edo State Police Command, expressed that the police force had deemed these individuals deserving of their promotions. He also cautioned them about the increased responsibilities that came with their new ranks.

Furthermore, he advised these officers to serve as exemplary representatives of the police force and to vigilantly uphold the integrity of their ranks by consistently doing what is right.

“Since you have now been elevated to higher ranks, it is imperative that you exercise even greater caution in the performance of your duties. The higher your rank, the more scrutiny you will face from fellow officers and the general public,” he emphasized.
