The committee is headed by Kelly Okungbowa, while Victor Edoror, a former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, serves as the Vice Chairman. Governor Okpebholo tasked the committee with ensuring the full recovery of all government vehicles currently in private hands, with a view to returning them to the state government.

After the inauguration, Okungbowa highlighted that many vehicles previously used by the administration of former Governor Godwin Obaseki are still in the possession of private individuals who have refused to return them. He expressed gratitude to the Governor for entrusting them with the responsibility and promised that the committee would meet the deadline.

“Many vehicles from the previous administration are still missing, as those holding them have refused to return them. The Governor has given us a mandate to recover all government vehicles from private hands,” Okungbowa said.

He further explained that the committee comprises members from all three Senatorial Districts in the state, and they are committed to carrying out the task in accordance with the law. Okungbowa also appealed to the public to report anyone still in possession of government vehicles to assist the committee in recovering them.

“We already have valuable information regarding individuals still holding government vehicles. We will do our job according to the law, and both the government and the people of Edo will benefit. Anyone with information can contact us at 08110165121,” he added.
