During a solidarity march for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo, in Benin City, Iduoriyekemwen made this statement, as reported by DAILY POST.

Leading other council members, including the party’s flag bearer and his running mate, Iduoriyekemwen highlighted President Bola Tinubu’s longstanding commitment to democracy in Nigeria. He called on the people of Edo State to remain dedicated and vote for the PDP candidate, while accusing the opposition of attempting to distract the public with a court judgment, which he asserted would not hold.

Addressing supporters, Asue Ighodalo, accompanied by his running mate Osarodion Ogie, encouraged the people to support the PDP to secure victory in the upcoming election.

“By the grace of God, by September, when you have voted for me and Ogie, there will be significant progress,” Ighodalo said. “Remain strong and happy. Don’t fear anything. God is in control. Ensure you have your PVCs ready for the September 21 election.”

“We will vote for PDP, ensure the votes are counted, and follow them to the collation center until we are declared winners, so the state can continue to prosper,” he added.

Other notable participants in the solidarity rally included Rev. Olu Martins, Deputy Director of Media and Publicity for the PDP Governorship Campaign Council, Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, and PDP lawmakers in the House.
