EFCC Boss Promises Crackdown On High-Level Corruption Not Just Yahoo Boys....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has rebuffed suggestions that the agency exclusively targets internet fraudsters, commonly referred to as “Yahoo boys.”

Olukoyede has pledged to lead a comprehensive and inclusive campaign against economic and financial crimes, sparing no one implicated in such illicit activities.

In a statement issued by the EFCC’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, Olukoyede emphasized this commitment during an Anti-Corruption Concert held in Abuja to bolster public awareness and engagement in combating cybercrimes.

Asserting his dedication to a multifaceted, integrated assault on corruption, Olukoyede stated, “We will not show leniency to anyone. We will pursue even the most influential perpetrators. While we address high-profile cases, we will also address those at the grassroots level.”

Highlighting recent prosecutions, including two former governors, Olukoyede refuted claims of the EFCC solely concentrating on internet fraudsters, stressing their focus encompasses all forms of economic and financial malfeasance.

He cautioned young individuals against involvement in cyber-related offenses, underscoring the severe repercussions of conviction, which could significantly hinder future career prospects.

“Young people must comprehend that being convicted carries lasting professional consequences,” Olukoyede warned.
