El-Rufai And Ashiru Alliance Will Collapse In 2027’ — Shehu Sani Sounds Alarm In Kaduna

Sani insisted that any attempt to unseat Governor Uba Sani would “fail woefully.” He made the remarks on Monday during a press conference in Kaduna, emphasizing that the opposition lacks the grassroots structures and popular support necessary to challenge the ruling administration.
According to the ex-lawmaker, opposition parties in Kaduna have minimal presence at the ward and community levels, functioning largely as political platforms “existing only on paper.”
“There is no political plot, whether by individuals or parties, that can override the will of the people of Kaduna State,” Sani stated.
He added, “The so-called ADC–PDP alliance reportedly linked to El-Rufai and Ashiru is dead on arrival because it has no grassroots foundation.”
Expressing confidence in Governor Uba Sani’s chances for a second term, Sani credited the administration’s achievements in governance, security, infrastructure, and inclusive leadership.
He highlighted the governor’s execution of infrastructural projects across all three senatorial zones, benefiting both rural and urban communities.
“For the first time in a long while, Kaduna is witnessing genuine unity between Muslims and Christians,” he noted.
Sani also pointed to notable improvements in security compared to other North-West states, creating a favorable environment for development.
Among key initiatives, he mentioned the proposed $200 million poultry project, the Kaduna Light Rail project, and multi-billion-naira skills acquisition programmes spread across the state. These centres, he said, are already empowering youths and women, tackling unemployment, and addressing the root causes of insecurity.
The former senator further praised Governor Uba Sani’s performance in the health and education sectors, as well as human capital development.
“Governor Uba Sani has made a strong and measurable impact in healthcare delivery, education reform, and human capital development. These are investments in the future of Kaduna State, and the people can see and feel the difference,” Sani concluded.
