El-Rufai’s 2027 Agenda: Jaji Exposes The Real Reason Behind His Concerns

Aminu Jaji, the lawmaker representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency of Zamfara State, has cautioned former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, against becoming overly preoccupied with the 2027 presidential election.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Jaji suggested that El-Rufai’s focus on the upcoming elections may be influenced by the bold policies of the current administration and the heightened anticipation among opposition parties.
Speaking at the unveiling of the ‘One Nigeria’ project organized by the National Association of Former Local Government Council Chairmen in Abuja on Thursday, Jaji urged political leaders to avoid heating up the polity, emphasizing that 2027 is still a long way off.
He stressed that President Bola Tinubu is only two years into his tenure, making it premature for electioneering activities.
The lawmaker also called on Nigerians to prioritize national unity over personal and political interests, noting that the country’s electoral decisions have historically been driven by a sense of unity rather than divisive politics.
“I believe El-Rufai is more focused on 2027 due to the administration’s active policies and the opposition’s growing interest. However, 2027 is still far off, and we must first focus on governance,” Jaji stated.
He further warned that divisive politics threatens Nigeria’s security, peace, and stability, urging all citizens to uphold national unity as a guiding principle.
