End the Reign Of Bandits: Gen Oluyede Urges Relentless Operations Against Threats

During an operational visit to the 402 Special Forces Brigade Headquarters in Kaduna on Monday, General Oluyede commended the brigade for its exceptional efforts in securing the Kaduna-Abuja road and rail corridor.

Upon arrival, he was accorded a ceremonial Quarter Guard reception and received a detailed briefing on the brigade’s activities and operational challenges.

In his address to the officers and soldiers, the Army Chief stressed the importance of sustained offensives against terrorists and other criminal elements. Acknowledging the troops’ challenges, he assured them of swift action to address their concerns and reaffirmed his commitment to improving the welfare and accommodation of Nigerian Army personnel.

Oluyede urged officers to lead by example, exhibiting courage and determination in confronting security threats. He praised the brigade’s operational achievements, emphasizing their pivotal role in the Army’s broader strategy.

“The outstanding performance of the 402 Special Forces Brigade is evident in the high demand for your services across various units and formations,” he remarked.

According to Army spokesperson Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the visit aimed to boost morale and operational readiness, underscoring Oluyede’s resolve to ensure the Nigerian Army remains steadfast in its mission to protect the nation.

The Chief of Army Staff was accompanied by the Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, senior officers from Army Headquarters, and the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army.
