#EndBadGovernance Protest: Kebbi Youths Stage Peaceful Demonstration in Support of Tinubu and IdrisIn a show of solidarity with President Bola Tinubu and Kebbi Governor Nasir Idris, a coalition of youth groups from Kebbi has chosen to exempt themselves from the #EndBadGovernance protests set to commence on August 1.

On Sunday, over 100 youth associations gathered at Government House, Birnin Kebbi, to express their unwavering support for the current administration at both state and federal levels.

Muhammad Adamu-Kichinga, leader of the youth coalition, emphasized the need for patience and continued support for leadership. “The challenges facing our country are manageable with time and prayer. Governor Idris has made significant strides in transforming Kebbi, and we must back him as he leads us towards progress.”

Governor Idris responded with gratitude, pledging ongoing efforts to enhance youth and women empowerment in Kebbi. “My administration remains committed to creating opportunities for our youth and ensuring sustainable development. The planned protest is unnecessary, and we are pleased that Kebbi’s youths have distanced themselves from it. Peace is essential for development, and we will continue to tackle the state’s challenges diligently.”

Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, echoed these sentiments, describing governance as a continuous process. He praised Governor Idris’s achievements and highlighted Kebbi’s peaceful environment as a testament to effective leadership. “Governor Idris has been a beacon of progress, and Kebbi stands as a model of development. We appreciate your support and urge you to disregard the protest, which we believe is misguided and serves ulterior motives.”

Bagudu concluded, “Thank you for reinforcing confidence in your leaders. Kebbi’s success is a reflection of the positive impact of our governance. Together, we will overcome challenges and move Nigeria forward.”
