Enugu Police Commissioner Takes Action: Orders Arrest Of Native Doctor Seen In Viral Cruelty Videos

In an official statement, the command’s spokesperson, DSP Henry Ndukwe, conveyed the commissioner’s condemnation of the acts as barbaric and regressive, especially for an individual in the 21st century, irrespective of geographical location. Enugu State, Nigeria, is noted for having laws explicitly prohibiting and criminalizing such inhumane actions.

The Commissioner has consequently directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (State CID) to collaborate with the Nsukka Area Commander in conducting a thorough investigation. The objective is to swiftly apprehend and prosecute the main suspect, identified as a resident of Ovoko community in Nsukka Local Government Area.

CP Uzuegbu urges both local and international individuals and organizations that have come across the viral videos and expressed profound concern over the depicted acts to stand in solidarity with the police for the pursuit of justice. He assures the public that every legal measure will be employed to ensure the apprehension and prosecution of the suspect and his accomplices. Ndukwe emphasized the commitment to acting within the confines of the law to bring the perpetrators to justice.
