Even If You Hate Tinubu, You Can’t Deny The Progress In Abuja!” – Wike Fires Back At Critics

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that no amount of criticism or dislike for President Bola Tinubu can overshadow the visible transformation currently taking place in Abuja.

Wike made this remark on Tuesday during the commissioning of access roads in Sector Centre B, Dakibiyu District.

The former Rivers State Governor assured Nigerians that by the time President Tinubu marks his third year in office, the level of development in the FCT will surpass anything the nation has witnessed before.

He appealed to Nigerians to remain patient with the current administration, expressing confidence that the country is on course to reach its “promised land.”

“By next year, during Mr. President’s third anniversary, Nigerians will witness what they’ve never seen before,” Wike said.
“I plead with all Nigerians to be patient; we will get to the promised land. Under President Tinubu, a new story is being written—you can already see it happening.”

Wike emphasized that progress in Abuja serves as proof of Tinubu’s leadership impact, urging citizens to judge based on tangible results rather than political sentiment.

“When assessing performance, go sector by sector. Let’s start with Abuja—can anyone honestly say nothing is happening here? No matter how much you may dislike the President or feel aggrieved about election results, someone must win and someone must lose,” he added.

The minister insisted that even Tinubu’s fiercest critics cannot deny the visible developments across the FCT.

“Even if you hate Mr. President, can you deceive yourself to the point of saying nothing is happening in the FCT? Certainly not,” Wike asserted.
“What you see here—whether we’re commissioning or flagging off projects—represents the true dividends of democracy.”
