Momodu advised against pursuing a recall of Senator Natasha over her sexual harassment allegation against Akpabio, warning that the Senate President could end up on the losing side unless he reconciles with the suspended senator.

Speaking during a Channels Television interview on Monday, Momodu cautioned that Akpabio risks losing everything he has worked for if he does not resolve the issue amicably with Natasha.

He also condemned the ongoing conflict between the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, describing it as an unnecessary political crisis caused by personal disagreements.

Momodu expressed disappointment at Akpabio’s approach, advising him to prioritize peace over conflict. He reflected on Akpabio’s previous reputation as a great leader who developed Akwa Ibom State, contrasting it with the current situation where the Senate President is entangled in controversies over a mere sitting arrangement.

“If I were in your shoes, I would reach out to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and resolve the matter peacefully. Otherwise, the situation could damage your legacy,” Momodu stated.

Reports indicate that Senator Natasha is facing a recall initiated by some members of her constituency, following her public accusation of sexual harassment against Akpabio during a heated debate over seating arrangements in the Senate Chamber.
