The renowned former Vice President for the World Bank attributed her statement to the apparent discrepancies in the judgments of the Nigeria’s Appeal Court, notably in the governorship election cases. She specifically mentioned the judgment on the Kano State election, where the appellate court affirmed the decision of the Petition Tribunal sacking Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
