Exclusive: TETFUND CEO Shares Perspective On Recent ICPC Interrogation....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Executive Secretary of TETFund, Sonny Echono, refutes claims of arrest and detention by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). Contrary to earlier reports alleging his invitation by the anti-graft agency on Thursday over fraud allegations, Echono asserts that he hasn’t been summoned by the ICPC.

In response to inquiries, ICPC spokesperson Demola Bakare clarified that Echono remains in their custody as the investigation continues. Bakare emphasized the ongoing nature of the investigation and confirmed Echono’s presence, stating, “The Executive Secretary of TETFund is here with us. He has been invited for questioning. He is still in custody. He was invited yesterday.”

Echono, however, maintains that he has been at his office and hasn’t received any invitation from the ICPC. He further reveals that while one of TETFund’s directors was briefly detained by the anti-graft agency, they have since been released after being invited to provide documentation.

“I wasn’t detained by the ICPC. I’m currently in my office. One of our directors was invited by the ICPC to tender documents. But the official has since been released,” Echono stated in a conversation with the news platform.
