Exclusive Video Reveals Ritualistic Behavior, Prompting Employee Suspensions

Two employees employed by the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) have faced suspension following their involvement in a ritual conducted within their office premises.

The decision to suspend the individuals came after security footage captured the two SASSA officials, along with two other individuals, entering the office outside of regular working hours. The footage revealed one individual carrying what appeared to be a snake, while the other was observed sprinkling liquid throughout the office. The incident, occurring on April 12, prompted alarm among their colleagues, who discovered needles and a substance resembling traditional medicine, known as muti, spread across their workstations upon returning to work the following day. This discovery prompted immediate notification to their superiors.

Senzeni Ngubeni, the SASSA spokesperson in Mpumalanga, confirmed the suspension of the two officials involved pending further investigation. Ngubeni stated, “We have identified two of our officials as being involved in the incident. Currently, they have been suspended while an investigation into their actions is underway.”

In response to the situation, arrangements have been made with the municipality to utilize a community hall for SASSA operations while the office undergoes thorough cleaning and fumigation. Members of the public have been duly notified to utilize the community hall facilities during this period.
