Explosive: Ugochinyere Names PDP Bigwigs To Sack To Save Party From Losing Governors, 40 Lawmakers!

A member of the House of Representatives for Ideato Federal Constituency, Ikenga Ugochinyere, revealed yesterday that two governors and 40 lawmakers are preparing to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) soon.

Expressing frustration over the deepening crisis within the PDP, Ugochinyere lamented that party leaders have remained passive, allowing the situation to deteriorate further.

Addressing journalists in Akokwa, Ideato North, Imo State, he called on the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to immediately expel Samuel Anyanwu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to salvage the party.

He stated:
“I must inform you that I have confirmed 40 lawmakers elected on the PDP platform are set to decamp in the coming weeks. Just look at the state of our party today—lawmakers are leaving in droves, and two more governors are on the verge of defecting. I can confirm this information.”

Ugochinyere added:
“The days we feared have finally arrived. We cried out, we fought, we pleaded with PDP leaders to act and save the party. We warned that imposters like Umar Damagum and Samuel Anyanwu were hijacking the PDP. Sadly, our warnings fell on deaf ears. PDP governors and stakeholders ignored the danger signs.”

He continued:
“Today, the legacy of the founding fathers like Alex Ekwueme, Solomon Lar, and Adamu Ciroma has been severely betrayed. If they were alive to witness this decay, they would weep at how Africa’s once-mighty opposition party has been reduced to a toothless bulldog.”
