Following Wike’s handover of the government to his godson, Fubara, in May, records in the document disclose expenditures, including a staggering N2.7 billion on computer printers and N32 billion on an item labeled “special projects” within a few months.

On Page 35, the report indicates the computer printer purchase at N2,751,0399,898.84, while Page 50 details N900,000,000 allocated for the “Rehabilitation of Governor’s Residence.

” Additionally, Page 50 discloses the disbursement of a security vote totaling N27,402,086,068.16 within three months.

Meanwhile, in a media parley in Abuja, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, addressed the political crisis in Rivers State.

Wike accused Governor Fubara of attempting to create a political crisis and labeled him an ingrate despite the efforts put in place to support his political career.

Wike stated, “Let me tell you — I don’t like ingrates. I can’t stand it. What is happening now (in Rivers) is what Odili said in his book: ‘Give a man power and money, then you will know the person.’ If you haven’t given manpower and money, then you don’t know the person.”

Expressing dissatisfaction with the current situation in Rivers, Wike emphasized that Fubara is creating unnecessary crises despite being handed power without opposition and federal interference.

The political relationship between Wike and Fubara recently soured, leading to impeachment proceedings against Fubara and a crisis in the state. The intervention of President Bola Tinubu aimed to resolve the conflict between the two leaders.
