Exposed: Dogara Secretly Begged APC For Political Favour After Blasting Muslim-Muslim Ticket – Former Aide

In an 11-page open letter titled “Behind the Curtain of Deceit: Unmasking the Architect of the Zaar Identity Crisis and Division,” Maigida painted Dogara as a former leader turned “master manipulator,” alleging that he thrives on political inconsistency and self-interest.

Maigida slammed Dogara for accepting a recent political appointment under the All Progressives Congress (APC) government—a party he openly criticized during the 2023 elections. Referring to Dogara’s strong opposition to the APC’s Muslim-Muslim ticket, Maigida claimed the former Speaker orchestrated a staged protest using hired participants from the Middle Belt to boost his public image.

“You posed as a champion of justice, opposing the APC’s religious ticket while secretly lobbying those same power brokers for political favour. You did it without an ounce of shame,” Maigida wrote.

He called Dogara’s acceptance of the APC appointment hypocritical and evidence of political double standards, arguing that the position was symbolic and intended merely to silence him.

“The government knows your true character. That’s why they offered you a minor chairmanship—not out of respect, but to shut you up. You now wander through political corridors like a desperate fly, seeking relevance,” Maigida said.

He further claimed Dogara’s credibility and influence have deteriorated, both within his community and on the national stage.

Outside of politics, Maigida accused Dogara of exploiting the Zaar (Sayawa) people for personal gain, particularly by sowing division among the youth. He challenged Dogara to name even one Zaar youth he had meaningfully empowered during his time in office.

Maigida argued that Dogara consistently prioritizes personal ambition over the collective interest of his people, acting only when there’s a benefit to be reaped.

He also revived past controversies, including the widely reported allegations of budget padding during Dogara’s tenure as Speaker of the 8th National Assembly.

“Let’s be honest—‘budget padding’ may be the most enduring legacy of your time as Speaker, and that stain will always follow you,” Maigida concluded.
