ExxonMobil Affirms No Intention Of Leaving Nigeria

ExxonMobil’s Managing Director, Shane Harris, assured that despite rumors, the company is committed to Nigeria.

This follows their decision to divest from Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited to Seplat Energy Offshore Limited.

Harris emphasized ongoing investments in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector during a meeting with Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, in Abuja.

The Nigerian government supports this renewed collaboration, aiming to enhance production and maintain a conducive investment climate. Recent agreements between NNPC and ExxonMobil suggest progress toward resolving disputes that have affected oil output.
