Fame Doesn’t Move Me: Ruth Kadiri Reveals Why She Shuns Celebrity Lifestyle

Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has opened up about why she chooses to keep her private life away from the spotlight.

Despite spending over a decade in the movie industry, very little is known about the actress’s personal life. Although she is married and has two children born between 2019 and 2022, Ruth has never shared her husband’s photo on social media—only occasionally posting pictures of her daughters on their birthdays.

In a recent interview with media personality Jay OnAir, the mother of two revealed that she values her privacy deeply and is intentional about protecting it.

According to her, the last thing she wants is to lose herself in the quest for fame. Ruth emphasized that her private life is her source of peace and happiness, and she intends to keep it that way while building her career.

In her words:

“The last thing I want to do as a person is to lose myself in the process of being an entertainer. I need to be able to keep the wealth of happiness or fulfilment for myself while growing and building what I want to build. And I’m not going to let anybody sway me.”
