Formerly united by marriage, the relationship between actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has taken a new twist as members of her maternal community in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, have issued the lawmaker a 48-hour ultimatum to accept the return of the bride price paid on her.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In an open letter signed by Favour Awele Obi on behalf of the community, the group also demanded that Nwoko cease all forms of harassment and intimidation allegedly targeted at Regina’s relatives.

The letter accused the senator of disrespecting local traditions and using his influence to oppress members of the Daniels family.

According to the community, their customs permit a woman to leave a marriage of her own free will, after which her family formally ends the union by returning the bride price.

They claimed Regina’s family had made multiple attempts to refund the payment, but the senator allegedly refused to accept it. Should he continue to reject the gesture, they said the money would be publicly deposited at the Ikeleke Quarter in Ogwashi-Uku, a symbolic act that would signify the official dissolution of the marriage.

The group further condemned the alleged arrest and intimidation of Regina’s relatives, describing the actions as a direct insult to their community and its long-standing traditions.

The open letter—shared online by Regina’s brother, Sweezzy Daniels, and actor Stanley Ontop—urged Nwoko to respect the peace process and release those detained.

This development follows Regina’s recent accusations that her estranged husband ordered the arrest of her siblings after she refused to return to his home.

Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko married in 2019 and share two sons together. As of press time, the senator has not issued an official response to the community’s ultimatum.
