Elliot made waves on social media after appearing in a dramatic black two-piece outfit—featuring a shirt and skirt adorned with a prominent elephant print design.
In an interview with Punch, Elliot explained the symbolism behind his fashion choice. He said:
“Being more active in politics now means I rarely get public appearances. So, whenever I do, I try to make a bold, memorable statement—quiet in words, loud in visuals. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t. But life is about taking risks. At 50, you must dare to be bold.”
He went on to say that the elephant motif holds personal significance for him.
“The elephant print gives me confidence. It represents everything I believe in—power, strength, loyalty, stability, and love.”
When asked if he enjoys the attention that comes with fame, Elliot responded:
“I wouldn’t say I love it, but I’ve grown used to it. These days, I don’t go overboard. After experiencing what some call a ‘midlife crisis,’ you learn to just be present and authentic in how you feel. This outfit was simply my way of expressing that everyone should be free to live their truth.”
