Fatal Accident Claims Life Of 22-Year-Old Student Ejected From Moving Vehicle

Detectives in Nakuru, Kenya are currently investigating the tragic death of a 22-year-old college student, Eileen Cherotich, who reportedly succumbed to injuries after being ejected from a moving vehicle.

Eileen, a business student at the Rift Valley Institute of Science Technology, tragically lost her life while returning home from a night out in Nakuru town. Her lifeless body was discovered near the Eveready roundabout close to the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway on Sunday morning, July 14, 2024.

Reports suggest that a dispute between Eileen and her boyfriend during their journey home led to the fateful incident. At present, three individuals have been detained along with a vehicle suspected to be involved, held at the Nakuru West police station.

Following the incident, fellow college students staged a protest on Sunday afternoon, blocking the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway to demand justice for their departed peer.

Meanwhile, Eileen’s remains have been transferred to the Nakuru County Referral Hospital Mortuary for a post-mortem examination, as authorities continue their investigation into this tragic event.
