A man has been handed a life sentence after being found guilty of the murder of his one-month-old son, Ollie Davis, who tragically died from a “snapped neck.” Ollie was discovered lifeless in his crib in Leicester in October 2017, with a distressing array of injuries including more than 20 broken ribs and fractures to his skull, collarbone, arms, and limb joints. Michael Davis, aged 29, was convicted of Ollie’s murder as well as two counts of grievous bodily harm, while Kayleigh Driver, Ollie’s mother, aged 31, was found guilty of causing or allowing the death of a child and causing or allowing serious physical injury.

The trial, spanning two months, revealed chilling details, stating that Ollie’s neck had been snapped between four and eight days before his tragic passing. The verdict was delivered, with Davis receiving a life sentence, to serve a minimum term of 22 years. Today, on April 10th, justice was served in this heartbreaking case of familial betrayal and violence.
