This commitment was affirmed by Nigeria’s Minister of State for Steel, Uba Maigari Ahmadu, during his official visit to Anambra State.
Minister Ahmadu paid a courtesy visit to Governor Chukwuma Soludo at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia as part of his tour.
He expressed his admiration for Governor Soludo and acknowledged Anambra as a focal point for industrial development in the nation. The Minister extended a hand of collaboration to the State government.
In response, Governor Soludo commended the current administration for prioritizing essential matters and expressed confidence that the government will take the necessary steps to unlock Nigeria’s vast potential.
The Minister’s visit also included an inspection of the facilities at the Metallurgical Training Institute (MTI) in Onitsha.
During this visit, he expressed concern about the rampant pursuit of certificates by young Nigerians and expressed optimism that the state government would work to stimulate interest in skill acquisition and collaborate with the institute to alleviate poverty.
