In a recent interview with BBC Hausa, Nuhu highlighted that currently, only 35 percent of Nigerian films meet the desired quality standard, falling short of the target of 70 to 75 percent.
He emphasized the importance of focusing on improving the quality of films by prioritizing education and ensuring access to quality equipment.
Nuhu expressed his ambition to elevate the Nigerian film industry to global standards, emphasizing the need for quality over quantity.
He also addressed the negative reputation some Nigerian films have garnered, acknowledging that they have tarnished the country’s image. However, he believes that through high-quality films, Nigeria can reclaim its integrity on the global stage.
