Former Beauty Queen Turned Drug Dealer: Surrenders To NDLEA After 8-Month Chase

A former beauty queen, Ms. Aderinoye Queen Christmas, also known as Ms. Queen Oluwadamilola Aderinoye, has turned herself in to the Lagos Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) after evading capture for approximately eight months.

Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, announced on Sunday, September 1, 2024, that the suspect admitted to hiding in Akure, Ondo State during this period.

Ms. Aderinoye was declared wanted by the NDLEA in January after she fled her Lekki, Lagos residence during a raid on her apartment in Oral Estate, Lekki, on January 24th. The operation was conducted based on credible intelligence linking her to illicit drug activities.

“Aderinoye was crowned Miss Commonwealth Nigeria Culture 2015/2016 and is the founder of the Queen Christmas Foundation,” Babafemi stated.

During the search of her residence, which was witnessed by estate officials, NDLEA operatives recovered 606 grams of Canadian Loud, a potent strain of synthetic cannabis, along with an electronic weighing scale, large quantities of drug packaging materials, a black RAV 4 SUV with Lagos license plate KSF 872 GQ, and a picture frame of the suspect, among other items.

The suspect, who confessed to hiding in Akure, Ondo State since January, finally surrendered to the NDLEA on Wednesday, August 28th.
