Forum Unites In One-Day Prayer Event Devoted To Tinubu’s Well-Being

Today’s event, themed ‘Let God Arise and Peace Reign in Nigeria,’ is being hosted at the Chapel of Christ the Light in Alausa, Ikeja. Organized by a group comprising members from Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, and Osun states, this gathering of Christians encourages people of all faiths to join in prayer for the peace, unity, and progress of Nigeria.

National Coordinator Rev. Sam Ogedengbe, in a statement, expressed the group’s belief in prayer as the solution to the nation’s challenges. Emphasizing the efficacy of prayer, he stressed that believers and children of God are convinced that it is through prayer that the country and its President can find success.

Simultaneously, the National Unity Forum (NUF), a non-governmental organization, held intercessory prayers in Abuja. Their focus was on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, state governors, and other authorities, with special attention given to INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmud Yakubu and the success of future elections.

Comrade Godwin Meliga, the National Coordinator of the forum, underscored the vital role of the INEC Chairman in the growth of democracy. The group opted for prayer as a response to the country’s challenges, choosing it over civil unrest.

The National Unity Forum has designated February 25th as National Intercession Day, urging all Nigerians, regardless of their faith, to come together annually on this day to pray for peace, unity, and progress in the nation.
