In a statement shared on Instagram, Iyabo revealed that she had previously made efforts to reconcile the two actresses. She explained that she went as far as pleading with them to settle their differences, which they eventually did, agreeing to avoid subtle jabs or public confrontations online.

However, she noted that the renewed tension began in December when Toyin raised concerns about alleged sabotage surrounding her movie in cinemas. This led some fans to point fingers at Funke, reigniting friction between them.
