Fresh Twist: Deputy Governor’s Son Responds To Rift Rumours With Gov. Kefas

Speaking with journalists on Wednesday at the deputy governor’s residence, Alkali’s first son, Mallam Ibrahim Aminu Alkali, said the claims were false, praising Governor Kefas for his continued support to the family since his father’s health challenges began.

According to Ibrahim, the deputy governor has made significant progress in his recovery over the past two years, a development he attributed to divine intervention and the governor’s commitment to his wellbeing.

He expressed gratitude to Governor Kefas for standing by the family throughout the period, noting that his support had been invaluable.

Ibrahim explained that his father initially received medical treatment in Nigeria before being flown to Egypt for specialised care. Following his return, he continued treatment in Jalingo and is currently undergoing routine medical evaluations in Abuja, where his condition has continued to improve.

He disclosed that Governor Kefas not only ensured that the deputy governor’s medical expenses were covered but also paid regular visits to monitor his recovery.

The deputy governor’s son also appealed to politicians to stop using his father’s health condition as a tool for political debate, insisting that the governor had demonstrated exceptional concern and support for both the deputy governor and his family.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Usman Madu, said all statutory entitlements due to Alkali have continued to be paid without interruption despite his prolonged absence from official duties.

Madu added that Governor Kefas has consistently approved requests relating to the deputy governor’s medical treatment promptly, describing him as supportive and responsive throughout Alkali’s recovery process.
