In a post shared Sunday on its official handle, the party suggested there is limited time for both politicians to make their decision.
“All we need right now. Just all we need. 2 weeks to the deadline,” the party wrote.
The post also included an image of Obi and Kwankwaso shaking hands with the caption: “Nigeria will be OK.”
The appeal comes shortly after supporters of both politicians launched the “OK Movement,” aimed at mobilising backing for a possible joint ticket ahead of 2027.
Justin Ijeh, the group’s National Publicity Secretary, earlier announced the formation of its national executive council, along with zonal and state structures.
Both Obi and Kwankwaso are prominent members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which is currently facing internal leadership disputes.
On April 22, the Supreme Court reserved judgment in an appeal filed by a faction led by David Mark against a case instituted by rival chairman Nafiu Bala.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set May 30, 2026, as the deadline for submission of party membership registers and nomination of candidates for the 2027 general elections.
Opposition parties, including factions of the ADC, PDP and NNPP, recently urged INEC to extend the deadline for party primaries to the end of July, arguing that the current timetable could disadvantage parties still dealing with internal crises.
