The sector commander attributed the majority of these accidents to factors such as excessive speed, dangerous driving practices, night travel, and incidents of tyre bursts. He emphasized the importance of motorists adhering strictly to traffic regulations, particularly during the rainy season, to prevent avoidable loss of life.

“We urge motorists to comply with traffic rules and regulations to prevent unnecessary loss of life, especially in this rainy season,” Mr. Uga stated. He further advised drivers to exercise patience and reduce their speed to mitigate the risk of accidents on the highways.
