A chieftain of the Pan Niger Delta Elders Forum (PANDEF), Anabs Sara-Igbe, has called on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to reconcile with Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, warning that his continued political rivalry could lead to disastrous consequences.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Sara-Igbe made the statement in response to Wike’s assertion during a live media chat in Abuja on Sunday that he would never reconcile with Fubara.

In a press release on Monday, Sara-Igbe emphasized that Wike’s political troubles are mounting, making it evident that he cannot win the ongoing battle with Fubara.

He likened Wike to a masquerade undressed in public, suggesting that the Minister is rapidly losing his political influence in Rivers State.

Sara-Igbe urged Wike to seize the opportunity offered by the Obong Victor Attah-led PANDEF Reconciliation Committee to end the political conflict. He emphasized that Wike’s attempts to continue the feud are futile, especially since Governor Fubara remains open to peace.

He said, “Everything is collapsing on his head. He is losing ground daily, and it’s clear that Wike cannot win this war. It is incomprehensible for him to refuse reconciliation with Governor Fubara. What has that young man done to him that he can’t forgive and move forward?

“Wike is like a masquerade undressed in public. He is rapidly losing everything. He has lost local government areas, the PDP, and soon the 27 lawmakers will follow. He has nothing left. So why persist in this fight?

“PANDEF, under Obong Attah, has provided him with an opportunity to reconcile with dignity. He should embrace that chance and seek peace with Fubara, or risk a disastrous and humiliating end.

“Whether Wike chooses to reconcile or not, Rivers State has moved forward. Wike is not God, and never will be. Governor Fubara is doing well, and the state is at peace.”
