Speaking during an interview on Arise Television, Raimi insisted that Fubara’s remarks confirmed beyond doubt that Rivers State was in turmoil.

He further argued that the governor not only acknowledged the existence of the crisis but also admitted being one of the key actors fueling it.

“This has finally settled the controversy over whether or not there was a crisis in Rivers. The governor himself identified three principal players—his predecessor and current Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, whom he even described as ‘our leader’; himself, when he said he was the crisis; and the Rivers State House of Assembly.
