Fuel Revolution Begins: Dangote Refinery Set To Flood Nigeria With Petrol And Diesel by August 15

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced it will commence nationwide distribution of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) and diesel starting August 15, 2025.

To enhance delivery and ensure fuel reaches every part of the country efficiently, the company is deploying 4,000 brand-new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered tankers. This move is aimed at increasing fuel accessibility and supporting Nigeria’s fuel supply chain.

In an official statement, Dangote Refinery revealed that this offer is available to marketers, petrol station operators, manufacturers, telecom companies, aviation firms, and other major fuel consumers.

The company also disclosed plans to strengthen the distribution process through the establishment of daughter CNG booster stations and a dedicated fleet of over 100 gas-powered trucks.

It further stated that the logistics support, including free product delivery, is designed to eliminate transportation challenges and reduce operational costs across vital economic sectors.

The statement reads in part:
