Some say the fuel scarcity is caused by flood, others say is due to oil theft and vandalism, but recently it looks more like sabotage from party members of either the ruling party, APC or members of PDP trying to discredit the ruling party in order to lose February election.

Today, Monday, January 30th residents of Benin City, Edo state took to various streets to reflect their high level of frustration from the fuel scarcity as petrol is being sold at 600/Litre in filling stations and 1200/ Litre in Black markets.
