Funke Akindele Reveals Why She Stopped Going To Church, Fans React

In a video shared on her Snapchat page, the actress was seen at home preparing breakfast and getting her children ready for church. While speaking, she clarified that she would not be accompanying them but would instead participate in the service online.

According to her, attending church in person often turns into a distraction, as people focus more on taking photos of her than on the service itself. She noted that the constant attention from both media personnel and fellow worshippers makes it difficult for her to worship peacefully.

“Don’t ask if I’m going to church. I’m not. Anytime I go, the attention is on me with people taking pictures. I’ll join the service online,” she said.

In a separate development, Funke Akindele also addressed reports claiming she ignored Fuji star Wasiu Pasuma at a recent public event, describing the viral claim as misleading.
