In the ongoing political drama surrounding the Nigerian presidential election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu appears to be consolidating his lead as opposition parties face setbacks at the presidential election tribunal.
A recent photograph published by the Leadership newspaper captures the essence of the evolving political landscape.>>CONTINUE READING
The picture showcases the logos of five political parties that have challenged Tinubu’s electoral victory. However, it is evident that two of the parties, AA and APP, have withdrawn their petitions, leaving behind three opposition forces: APM, LP, and PDP.
This development translates to a significant advantage for Tinubu, with only three parties remaining to contest the election results.
An analysis of the photograph reveals a compelling visual narrative. In one corner, former PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar can be seen smiling, symbolizing the fading hopes of the opposition.
Meanwhile, Asiwaju Tinubu, sometimes compared to a political “Godfather,” as the opposition refers to him, sits in the middle, emanating authority and control. Next to him is Peter Obi, another major political figure who appears to be analyzing the issue.
The election was a case of divine intervention, as the opposition maintained massively biassed propaganda aimed at fully eliminating Tinubu from the race with misleading stories about his health, wealth, honesty, and trustworthiness.
The opposition was divinely scattered, much like the biblical account of the Tower of Babel, with fragments of PDP, LP, and NNPP giving Tinubu the edge.
Now that the tribunal has begun, opposition parties are falling one by one like a pack of cards. Two parties have already withdrawn their petitions, leaving the PDP, APM, and LP to continue their legal fight.>>CONTINUE READING
However, the LP’s lack of preparation has prompted them to seek an adjournment, giving Tinubu’s party, the APC, a significant advantage in the proceedings.
As the presidential election tribunal plays out, all eyes will be on how the remaining opposition forces handle the legal challenges and whether Tinubu’s lead will be cemented further; this is a GAME OF THRONES.
