The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, received a warm welcome from a large crowd on Saturday as he arrived in Kano State. According to Naija News, over a hundred residents from the Bichi local government area gathered to greet the former governor as he came to offer condolences and support to the victims and families affected by a recent tragic accident involving police officers.
Five officers of the Nigeria Police Force tragically lost their lives on Tuesday in a road accident on the Zaria-Kano Road. These officers had been deployed to Edo State for the governorship election held the previous Saturday.
Abdullahi Labaran, the spokesperson for the Kano State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), confirmed the incident in a statement to the media, noting that the officers were returning from the election when the accident occurred.
