He highlighted the importance of religious tolerance in the political landscape, pointing out that the governance of Lagos has alternated between Christian leaders for over a decade. He urged that it was now time for a Muslim to take the helm, referencing the previous Muslim governors, Bola Tinubu and Babatunde Fashola, who served from 1999 to 2015.
