Gov Mutfwang Breaks Silence On Rumoured PDP Exit

During a recent media chat, Mutfwang dismissed the claims as mere speculation, insisting he has never entertained or discussed the idea of dumping the party with anyone.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

These rumours are completely baseless and misleading,” he said. “I have not had any conversations about leaving the PDP for the APC or any other party.”

He attributed the speculations to groups pushing their personal agendas. “Some of them may mean well but are simply misinformed,” the governor added.

Reflecting on past elections in the state, Mutfwang accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of using electoral malpractice to seize power.
“In 2015, collation was paused at 8 p.m. and scheduled to continue the next morning. But by 2 a.m., results had been declared — that alone tells the story,” he remarked.

Reaffirming his loyalty to the PDP, Mutfwang said his political journey would be shaped by divine guidance and the will of the people.
“My political future lies in God’s hands and with the people of Plateau. Wherever they go, I will follow.”

Addressing internal issues within the PDP, he acknowledged the party’s challenges — including court verdicts that cost them legislative seats — but stressed that progress was being made.

“As a member of the PDP national reconciliation team, I’m confident we’ll overcome the crisis. I remain a committed PDP member and believe better days are ahead,” he concluded.
