A prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State, Jonathan Vatsa, has cautioned Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, to exercise caution in his approach toward embattled Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Vatsa warned that Ododo’s actions are inadvertently boosting Natasha’s popularity among her constituents and Nigerians at large.

In a statement shared on Facebook on Thursday, the former Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism asserted that efforts to undermine the Senator have backfired significantly.

He stated, “It’s time to let the woman be. The voice of the people is the voice of God. I advise the Governor of Kogi State to tread carefully with Senator Natasha’s matter because the political calculations are failing miserably. Instead of weakening her, they are positioning her as a stronger gubernatorial contender for Kogi State in 2027.”

Vatsa further emphasized that any attempt to detain the Senator would only increase her popularity and provoke strong reactions from her supporters, who, he noted, remain firmly behind her.

He criticized the strategy employed against Natasha, calling it a poorly executed plot that has only brought disrepute to the Senate.

Vatsa also cautioned that the public is closely monitoring the unfolding drama, warning that the Senate stands to lose the most from the controversy.

“Attempting to recall Senator Natasha would be a reckless political move and would only make a mockery of the democratic system,” he said.

In conclusion, Vatsa urged all parties involved in the conflict to prioritize peace, noting that opposing Natasha is a futile effort, as she continues to stay ahead of her detractors. He called for an end to hostility toward women in politics to foster greater female participation.
