Gbolahan Oki, the General Manager of LASBCA, made this announcement in a statement released on Tuesday, as conveyed by Segun Olaoye, the head of the agency’s Public Affairs Unit.

The surge in building collapses in recent times, attributed to factors such as rainstorms and resident negligence by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, has prompted urgent action.

Oki emphasized the need to engage professionals, termed “Certified Accreditors,” to bolster the agency’s efforts in scrutinizing drawings, conducting stage inspections, and monitoring compliance with Lagos State Building Control Regulations.

This initiative aligns with the Lagos State Government’s commitment to fostering sustainability, resilience, and an attractive business environment through strategic urban development and planning.

Eligible consultants must be registered practitioners in Nigeria, possess proven capabilities, substantial experience, and a commendable performance history, in addition to being members of accredited professional bodies.
