Governor Adeleke stressed the importance of preventing the wastage of public funds on projects abandoned by successive administrations. He affirmed that, irrespective of political differences, his administration would persevere in completing more inherited projects and bringing them to fruition.
Addressing challenges within the state’s health sector, particularly the issue of insufficient manpower, Governor Adeleke mentioned that the 2024 budget had already addressed these concerns.
“I urge our citizens to recall my pledge to finalize all neglected and ongoing projects inherited from previous administrations. I remain unwavering in fulfilling this commitment. Public funds should never be squandered due to political disparities. I have successfully completed numerous such unfinished projects. Today, we are inaugurating another legacy project to accommodate the highly successful state agency, OHIS. From this new structure, our administration will persist in its efforts to expand health coverage and accessibility,” stated the governor.
Governor Adeleke also assured the public of his administration’s determination to bolster various health initiatives and rehabilitate additional healthcare facilities, thereby ensuring widespread access to high-quality healthcare services throughout the state.
