Emphasizing the need for introspection and shared accountability, Fintiri stated that genuine progress can only be achieved by acknowledging one’s actions and abandoning a victim mentality. “Some of these weaknesses are within our means to correct, but we will only succeed if we are brave and honest enough to accept responsibility for our actions and reject the convenient attitude of playing the victim and blaming others,” he said.

Fintiri assured the people that his administration remains dedicated to leaving no one behind and ensuring that all Adamawa citizens benefit from its efforts. “I commend you all for reaching this milestone, surviving pitfalls, and regaining dignity through democracy. While 64 years may seem short for a nation, we have had opportunities to make significant changes. Unfortunately, unpatriotic acts and injustice have hindered our progress. We must accept responsibility and reject victimhood.”

He added that his government will continue to empower the citizens of Adamawa through investments in human capital development and infrastructure, aiming to boost the economy and improve living conditions.
