During an address at a local event on Tuesday, May 14th, Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State didn’t hold back in subtly criticizing a certain individual. He remarked that while the Federal government had been extending support to the state, an unnamed culprit – symbolized as a rat – was undermining these efforts by consuming essential resources, akin to a bag of garri. Fubara further disclosed that measures, including the use of a local rodenticide called Otapiapia, have been taken to eradicate this problem.
This comment from Governor Fubara adds another layer to the ongoing friction between him and his predecessor, now serving as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
