In a statement released in Abuja, Ganduje disassociated himself from any attempts to dethrone Sanusi, labeling the claim as “lame” and questioning how he could be involved when he is no longer the governor of Kano State.

“Ganduje has nothing to do with the current status of Emir Mohammad Sanusi. It should be noted that he is no longer the executive governor or a member of the House of Assembly, and therefore has no influence over the Emirship of Kano,” the statement read.

Ganduje further expressed disbelief that he, having left office years ago, would be accused of orchestrating such plots, asserting that he is now focused on leading the APC. He emphasized his satisfaction with the contributions he made during his time as governor, including infrastructure development and good governance.
