The announcement was made in a statement on Friday by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General of Press Affairs at Government House, Gombe.

As per the statement, the committee, comprising key government officials, is tasked with conducting a thorough analysis of the recommendations presented by the visitation panels.

Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, the Secretary to the State Government, conveyed the governor’s approval and appointed the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice as the committee’s chairman.

Other members include the Commissioners for Education, Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, as well as Finance and Economic Development.

The committee also features the chairpersons of the Civil Service Commission and Teachers’ Service Commission, along with the permanent secretaries of Bureau for Public Service Reforms and Special Services, Political and Chieftaincy, who will serve as the committee’s secretary.

Previously established by the Governor, the visitation panels conducted assessments and submitted comprehensive reports with extensive recommendations aimed at introducing positive reforms and enhancing the effectiveness of higher institutions in the state’s education sector.
